2) Appearance - We need to clean up the blight! Give incentives to rehab abandoned buildings or knock them down! Streets & Sewers in all of Davenport need to be repaired or replaced & cleaned not just a select few!
3) Incentives - Davenport needs to be offering top notch incentives for companies to relocate or build here. We would be naive to think we can attract businesses without incentives. Local governments all over the country are already doing just that. If we don't we'll never grow economically. Cost savings from administrative inefficiencies within the city government can help fund the needed changes. With the new jobs and their resulting salaries and tax dollars flowing into the city, social, cultral, and recreational improvements will followfrom both the public and private sectors. Without new jobs, the slow and steady decline of our city is inevitable. We need change and we need it now!
